Jackson Aldern - In All Your Decadence People Die
In All Your Decadence People Die
by Jackson Aldern
“Punk rock revolutionaries Crass sing “In all your decadence, people die!” in their cryptic but confrontational 1979 release ‘Shaved Women’. In my view, the sentiment draws contrast between the grandeur of power with the brutality of powerlessness. No amount of reverence for the rich and powerful can erase the brutality on our streets, and as long as a system of capitalistic exploitation is forced upon the people, violence will always be the outcome.”
Limited Edition prints (only 12 produced). Signed on the back by the artist.
Print is 12 x 18". Image area is 11 x 17". Material is Archival Cardstock.
